Hi, I’m Luisa!
For many years, I worked as a phlebotomist drawing blood for a living and also did another type of drawing...art drawings with charcoal! That was until I had trouble seeing things clearly and was diagnosed with Diabetic Macular Edema. It’s really hard to imagine losing my vision, but I'm hopeful now that I'm getting treatment from my retina specialist. I've also learned a lot along the way. I hope my story helps you a little too.

Por muchos años trabajé como flebotomista extrayendo sangre para ganarme la vida, pero también hice otro tipo de trabajo...¡dibujos artísticos con carbón! Eso fue hasta que tuve problemas para ver las cosas con claridad y me diagnosticaron edema macular diabético. Es realmente difícil imaginar perder la vista, pero ahora estoy llena de esperanza por recibir el tratamiento del especialista en retina. También aprendí mucho a lo largo del camino. Espero que mi historia también te ayude un poco.
